Picture this, it's 2015. You're a pair of high school students fresh off the high of Undertale, and also both of you just happened to have a nascent interest in music and game making. You don't know how any of this works, but you have ideas.

Chromakey takes place in Prism City, a bustling center of modern commerce and technological innovation, the Department of ??? (yes the "???" is part of the name) has just acquired its newest (less than) highly intelligent utility robot: you, callsign ROY660.

Recently, the shadow organization known as the Blackbodies (led by the an elite secret group of mercenaries called the SI Unit) has been gaining strength. They seek to disrupt Prism City’s way of life and overthrow Grand Chancellor Huygens and his government.

In addition, bizarre, unearthly abominations have been plaguing certain areas of the city. The origin and purpose of these aberrations of reality remain a mystery.

Will you, ROY660, be able to save Prism City? And what mysteries and secrets will you discover along the way?

Well, as you could probably guess it didn't work out. But a lot of interesting music was made along the way! Going over all the music made with this project and concept as inspiration, it shows that I had much more of a quick and rough sort of output style compared to my buddy redox (though her finished tracks are much more top quality and polished than my finished tracks).

This album is in two parts. From the first track (Title Screen) to track 24 (Refractive Reprise), we've sequenced it to roughly the concept narrative arc of the game. Everything past that point is more rough scraps and quick ideas we jotted down.

So, enjoy this collection of snippets, scraps, and ideas from years back! Hopefully you can hear the inspiration and passion like we did all those years back.
